Shopping Centers

Our Shopping Center division represents approximately 1% and 8% of our revenues and adjusted EBITDA respectively. Today we have presence in 4 countries; Chile, Argentina, Peru and Colombia, through 67 shopping centers and 830,548 square meters of gross leasable area to third parties. Costanera Center was inaugurated in June 2012, been the biggest shopping mall with a total of 326 stores and 140,000 square meters of selling space, turning into a landmark in Santiago.

  • Chile: 35 Shopping Centers with 421,407 m2 of GLA to third parties
  • Argentina: 22 Shopping Centers with 277,203 m2 of GLA to third parties
  • Peru: 6 Shopping Centers with 74,395 m2 of GLA to third parties
  • Colombia: 4 Shopping Centers with 11,367 m2 of GLA to third parties, it also has 46,176 m2 of GLA to third parties in Power and Strip Center locations.

In June 2019, Cencosud successfully executed the initial public offering (IPO) of its Shopping Centers division in Chile, Peru and Colombia, raising US$ 1,055 MM for a 27.7% ownership stake. Cencosud Shopping owns 39 properties: 33 in Chile, 2 in Peru and 4 in Colombia, as well as 3 plots of real estate: 1 in Chile and 2 in Peru.
